The old team are back together again! John Edgley repurchased the design rights, jigs and tools needed for future production work. He also purchased three existing aircraft, of which 021 (G-BOPO) has been restored to full flight condition and so the project is alive once again.
Optica 021 (G-BOPO) flies at the Sywell's 2008 Airshow piloted by Clive Davidson.
The Optica and Sprint aircraft were loaned to the Light Aircraft Association (LAA) for their inaugural week-long Flight Test Course, jointly run in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The course was run from Turweston aerodrome near Brackleyand and was hailed as a 'huge success' by participants. It is planned that the course will run twice yearly from now on. Further information on the course can be found on the LAA Flight Test Course page
